Calcutta Rescue Canada - Executive members:
Tim Sugrue (President) is our liaison with the Kingston community. Tim is a management consultant and his help, technical, as well as logistical, continues to be extremely appreciated. Tim has approached the Canadian Club and the Rotary Club and both have invited Dr. Preger to address their members.
Parveen Grewal is Project Officer for the School of Graduate Studies & Research at Queen’s University; she is our University Liaison and has been kept extremely busy with preparations for the Chancellor Dunning Trust Lecture. Her expertise and enthusiasm are invaluable to Calcutta Rescue Canada. Parveen was born in India and came to Canada at the age of 15.
Danielle Aird, retired business owner, writer, tries to put it all together and continues to be the direct contact with Dr. Preger. She strives to finds ways of promoting CRC across Canada.
Joanne Gunning is an accountant; she works as investment consultant for Independent Retirement Planners/Dundee Private Investors, and has been our liaison with the City of Kingston, negotiating for us to get a space at the Market in the fall to sell our handicrafts and to promote Dr. Jack’s work. Her advice with respect to our application for charitable status has been very useful.
Annette Weisberg is a writer and retired High School teacher who still teaches part time; she is our School Liaison and her relentless enthusiasm in spreading the word about Calcutta Rescue Canada has resulted in bringing more members to our group. Before Christmas she raised valuable funds by selling handicrafts to fellow teachers and friends.
