Where our funding goes

What Calcutta Rescue Canada dollars have accomplished so far:

Calcutta Rescue Canada funds go to the Rural Health Program, the Handicraft Centre, Arsenic Removal program (sponsored by the Rotarians), and to requests for special sponsorship when we have extra funds.

Since we became a registered charity in October 2006, thanks to your generous support, we have been able to send the following funds to Kolkata.

2006 – $ 2,275.

2007 – $19,990.

2008 – $27,500.

2009 – $21,043.

2010 – $19,896.

2011 up to May 31 – $11, 088.

Total sent to Kolkata:  $101,792.

Additionally, as of June 10, 2011, we have a reserve of $24,200.

As well, in 2011, we are very proud to be able to fund five Special life-saving Sonsorships:

(total cost approximately $11,000.) – the funds will be forwarded to Kolkata as our GIC investments expire in September 2011.
